Conference purpose

The rapid development of information and telecommunication technologies has led to the emergence of modern digital technologies and the formation of a digital economy. In the context of global challenges and an unstable external environment, one of the ways to increase the efficiency of the economy and industry is digital transformation. The DTECI conference will bring together scientists and practitioners to analyze and discuss the problems of the development of industrial engineering, the application of modern digital technologies in various sectors of the economy,

The rapid development of information and telecommunication technologies has led to the emergence of modern digital technologies and the formation of a digital economy. In the context of global challenges and an unstable external environment, one of the ways to improve the efficiency of the economy and industry is digital transformation. The DTECI conference will bring together scientists and practitioners to analyze and discuss the development of industrial engineering, the application of modern digital technologies in various sectors of the economy, the development of mathematical and software tools for researching business processes within the framework of the Industry 4.0 concept, digital transformation of enterprises, the development of digitalization in industry and economics. 

The main goal of the conference is to provide a discussion platform and exchange experience of the academic community and practitioners in analyzing the digital transformation of the economy and industry based on the development of industrial engineering, the introduction of digital technologies, the implementation of a cluster approach in the economy, and the problems of training modern engineering and economic staff.

Section 9. The socio-economic problems of the use of digital technologies in contemporary conditions

The conference aims at providing a collaborative platform for researchers and experts to discuss the current state of economy in the context of external global challenges; cluster initiatives and regional innovative clusters formation; theory of digital economy and theoretical framework of the Industry 4.0 concept; practical applications of cluster economy models and industrial policy in unstable environment; implementation of modern high-end technologies and staff training in engineering and economics.

Materials of conference will be indexed in one of editions Thomson Reuters (ISI) Web of Science and SCOPUS.

Within the framework of the conference, a competition of scientific works for students and postgraduates named after V.V. Novozhilov is held.

PAPER SUBMISSION

There can be max. 4 authors of one paper; one author can submit 2 papers. 

Papers are submitted to the Organization Committee in electronic format (doc.). Papers should present research results that have not been published yet and are not being submitted to any other journal/conference etc. Papers should be in English. 

Russian language authors provide two papers - in English and in Russian. Russian language paper is needed to assess the quality of translation and reviewing. 

The paper must strictly follow the guidelines (the template): Microsoft Word templates.

Instructions:

  1. Make sure the paper meets the requirements.
  2. Fill in the template carefully (see the Paper Template file). 
  3. Once the paper is ready, name the file in the following way: Ivanov_Scopus_Section 4
  4. Send the paper in doc. format to the contact person. 

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION 

  • specialists of research institutions and organizations;
  • staff of the industrial enterprises and research institutes;
  • teaching and research staff of higher education institutions;
  • students, postgraduate students and young scholars.

Reviewing

All papers were subject to double blind peer review.

The acceptance rate was 76 %.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

A-4 format, 5-7 pages, font - TNR, size – 11, interval - 1.0, abstract – 150-200 words, references – min. 15 sources. Sources indexed in international databases are to be included. 

The required format for papers is IMRAD - IMRAD format

Introduction, methods and materials, results, discussion, conclusions, further research directions; acknowledgements and grants if necessary. 

Sources listed in references are to be representative and to reflect current trends in research. 

Paper topics should be related to the conference major directions. 

The number of self-citations should not exceed 10% of total number of sources. 

A corresponding author should be indicated in the paper. 

Research Ethics

The organization committee follows the ethical standards of scientific community, in particular, recommendations of Elsevier Publication Ethics (based on Elsevier recommendations and COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors).  If a paper contains figures or tables taken from other sources, author must get the respective permission for reproduction them from the corresponding publishers.

All submissions undergo blind peer review

All submissions are checked for plagiarism. 

Author’s responsibility

Research originality

Originality is the main principle of a research paper. The following cases are considered as contravention of the originality principle: 

· plagiarism

  • simultaneous submission of the paper to several journals;
  • paper republication.

The author should submit an original paper only. References should be cited correctly. Any plagiarism is unethical and unacceptable.  

Data reliability 

The author is responsible for data reliability: (s)he is responsible for complete and correct data presentation as well as for its objective discussion. 

Citations

All the works that are used in the paper should be cited correctly. The primary source should be indicated if possible. 

Organization Committee Responsibilities 

Publication

Based on the results of reviewing, the organization committee selects papers to be published. The papers should follow all technical requirements, make a significant contribution to the research and correspond to conference major directions. 

Confidentiality

Editors are responsible for maintaining confidentiality while processing the paper.
